Wilson places 4th at State HOSA event
Two Ingleside High School students in the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) program competed at the state level in their respective events, and one, Taylor Wilson, returned with a fourth place finish in Medical Spelling.
Wilson is a senior at IHS and has been a HOSA member for three years. She has competed in Medical Spelling all three years, and this is the first time she made it to state. She had to take an online test and finish in the top 10 in this area to make it to the Area 2 Competition. She then competed in Houston in February, and placed first in area to advance to state, where she finished fourth.
Sanchez is also a senior and is in her first year in HOSA. She placed first at the Area competition for Personal Care, to advance to State.
Margarita Gonzalez is the new HOSA adviser this year.
