A hunter hospitalized this spring had a serious condition. She’d be sidelined for weeks. Her doctor wanted to install a device near her left shoulder. She objected, saying it had to be on her right side. She’s left-handed and didn’t want it to interfere with shooting her shotgun during turkey season.

Friday, March 13, 2020, five Ingleside powerlifters traveled to Bishop HS for the THSPA Region V Division II Championship. Ingleside Powerlifting walked out with the Region V Div. II 2nd place team trophy for the second year in a row. Jaxon Mabile, Seth Ruff, and Anthony Rogers hit their state qualifying total numbers and medaled top 2 in their weight class to guarantee a trip to the state meet.

On Friday, March 6, Junior Leandra Moreno [165 wt class] competed at the THSWPA Region V Division II Championships at Edcouch Elsa HS. Leandra came into the meet as 9th place and after hitting a +10 PR on squat  and +20 PR on bench , she was sitting in 11th place with a subtotal of 495. Leandra pulled a +15 PR on deadlift with a 355 lbs. pull. This was the third highest deadlift in her weightclass and shot up her up to 5th place bringing home a medal. Leandra also passed the state qualifying total of 825, hitting 855 at the meet and earning a chance to compete at the state meet in Waco on March 20.
