The NYPD’s special victim’s squad on Thursday announced they arrested a 63-year-old man for raping a boy he enticed into his car in Queens last week.
Virgilio Taveras was charged with rape, luring, endangering a child’s welfare, and sexual abuse.
According to a criminal complaint, Taveras allegedly lured the teen into his car on July 1 at 1 p.m. and sexually abused him near the intersection of 175th Street and Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica.
The NYPD also released a photo of Taveras’ vehicle, which he reportedly used to approach the victim.
