A woman died late Sunday after allegedly running a stop sign and causing a multi-vehicle collision in the Pleasant Grove area, according to Dallas police.
Officers responded to the intersection of S. Masters Drive and Old Seagoville Road just before 11 p.m. They discovered a woman who had been ejected from her vehicle lying on the road. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to police, the woman was driving a Chevrolet Malibu when she failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting an SUV. Her car spun and collided with a third vehicle as a result of the incident.
She was the only one in her vehicle. The occupants of the other two automobiles were uninjured.
The investigation is in its early stages, but authorities do not intend to file criminal charges.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to identify the deceased woman.
