In 2021, George Kirk celebrated his 100th birthday inside Hangar 11 at the McCampbell-Porter Municipal Airport bordering portions of Ingleside and Aransas Pass. The Corpus Christi aviator and his remarkable military legacy during WWII as a Navy pilot are part of an enduring display of personal artifacts and memories preserved by the Maxine Flournoy 3rd Coast Squadron Commemorative Air Force Museum.
