A recreational sport known as ‘skeet shooting’ has become popular across portions of the globe, and here in Texas. Last year, these gun owners were showing off their skills using clay discs as targets to help raise funds to support Ingleside’s ‘Project Graduation’. It’s a program that finances a safe, non-alcoholic, and entertaining graduation party complete with food for high school seniors each year, making certain they get home afterwards without incident. This is the second year for the Campbell Ranch Benefit Skeet Shoot, planned April 15 in Bayside.

Michelle Bird helps organize the skeet shoot fundraiser. The Ingleside mother of three is also active in the Ingleside VFW Post 6386 Women’s Auxiliary and works as a morning cashier at the Ingleside H.E.B. grocery store.

It’s a family affair. After Granny ‘Pinky’ passed away the Campbell children are carrying on her legacy of giving back to the community by hosting skeet shoot events for groups like Ingleside Project Graduation. They include (left to right) Charlie Campbell, Jaime Campbell, Vincent Campbell congratulating 2022 Third Place winner Rodney Berger, and David Campbell.
