Friday, March 10, the popular ‘Splash Pad’ reopened for the season at N.O. Simmons Park in Ingleside, little boys and girls frolicking through the streams of water on a hot day to start the weekend. Michael Davis, 31, of Aransas Pass brought his two-year-old daughter Emberlee and visited with his nephew, Tucker Davis, age 7 of Ingleside. But the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation has some more work to do. The Index noticed a spelling error on this sign displaying the rules for using the‘Splash Pad’, describing‘operrating’procedures, the word containing one extra ‘r’. Director Andy Tarkington was advised about the spelling goof.
