If all goes according to plan, the Fr. Charles H. Doherty Municipal Pool in Ingleside will be reopened Friday, July 15th. The nearly $1-million renovation has taken place after the pool was shuttered following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. In this aerial image taken recently, the pool is being filled with water that will be crystal clear by next month, thanks to a brand-new filtration system added as part of the upgrade. Ingleside is taking complete ownership of Cove Park from San Patricio County for the bargain price of $4,331.29, the cost the city must reimburse the county for the transfer of deed. Ingleside Parks Department has had signage on the property for years. It’s an incredible deal for citizens, given the park’s waterfront location and boat ramp access, located right next to Ingleside on the Bay. Ingleside Index
