Regular or decaf, with a cup of steaming, hot coffee in hand, Ingleside Police met with interested members of the public Monday, January 30, hoping to increase awareness of things the department is doing to better protect the community, while working on efforts to build stronger relationships with those they serve. Hosted by the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce, the event was held at Aztec Coffee at 2793 Main St. (FM 1069). Chief Tammy Burr and San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera were among law enforcement officials participating. At least two more ‘Coffee with a Cop’ gatherings are planned at the same location this year, the first on July 31, the other on October 30, all running from 8-9:30 a.m.
