A metal detector is just one of many tools the Ingleside ISD deployed at the high school following the Uvalde, TX school massacre, part of increased safety protocols designed to prevent anyone from bringing weapons into any campus buildings. Signs posted on all entry doors also warn not to open them under any circumstance. Authorized personnel and students with proper badging are the only ones with normal admittance. After last week’s threat, the school department has banned students from the Jr.. High and the High School from bringing any backpacks to class through this Friday.
