3-year-old boy at center of Amber Alert locate safe, CHP says

UPDATE: The California Highway Patrol has located a 3-year-old boy at the center of an Amber Alert.

ORIGINAL: Tyshawn Tucker was placed under an Amber Alert on Wednesday after being reported missing near Compton Avenue and E. Imperial Highway at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

The alert was lifted about 4 p.m. Wednesday when CHP reported that the youngster had been found.

Further information about the child’s condition and whereabouts was not immediately available.

Los Angeles police initially sought a 29-year-old male in connection with the child’s disappearance. It is unclear whether he was also apprehended or if he will face prosecution.

Police did not elaborate on the suspect’s relationship with the child.
