A Kansas City man will spend the next 40 years in federal prison for his role in a deadly fentanyl trafficking conspiracy that killed three people, including a juvenile, in Belton and Raymore.

Tiger Dean Draggoo, 25, was sentenced to 40 years in prison without parole Wednesday by United States District Judge Roseann A. Ketchmark after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and three counts of supplying the drug that resulted in death.

“This case is a sad reminder of the horrific damage and destruction that fentanyl can have in our community,” said U.S. Attorney R. Matthew Price, vowing to aggressively pursue those who profit from the deadly opioid.

During the investigation, law authorities raided Draggoo’s apartment and discovered this astounding arsenal:

  • 17 firearms, including two machine guns and a Glock switch to convert handguns into automatic weapons
  • A ballistic vest with armor plates
  • $246,769 in cash
  • Thousands of fentanyl pills, LSD, and marijuana

Draggoo acknowledged supplying or possessing at least 22,364 fentanyl pills weighing 2,460 grams, enough to result in countless additional fatalities.

ATF Special Agent in Charge Bernard Hansen described Draggoo as a “deadly threat” to communities, while FBI Special Agent Stephen Cyrus promised to “crush” fentanyl dealers.

Draggoo’s imprisonment serves as a stark reminder that distributing poison carries a significant cost—decades in prison.
