John Paul Corbin
John Paul Corbin, age 71, of Ingleside, Texas passed away peacefully September 19, 2019. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
John was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 16, 1948 to Evans Foster Corbin and Isabel Jackson Corbin. He grew up in Ingleside Texas and was a graduate of South West Texas State College (Texas State University).
He also served in the U.S. Army at a Med Lab in Germany during the Vietnam War.
John was a teacher for over 30 years at A.C. Blunt Middle School in Aransas Pass, Texas where he was a beloved shop teacher to his students whom he helped with many projects from building rockets to woodworking and drafting.
John had many talents and hobbies. Some of which were building and flying remote control airplanes, building sailboats, and collecting and making fishing lures.
He loved the outdoors and often spent his free time sailing, camping, fishing and geocaching. John had a love for life and will be always be remembered for his great sense of humor and quick wit.
John is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim Corbin.
John is survived by his loving wife Cindy Williams Corbin of Ingleside, TX; his daughter Jill Corbin Parker (Rodney) of Corpus Christi, TX; Grandsons Derek Jonathon Parker (Jessa) of Portland, TX and Trevor Drake Parker of College Station, TX; his brother Ed Corbin (Nikki) of Hilliard, OH; and his sister Anna Corbin Williams (Glenn) of New Braunfels, TX. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
John Paul Corbin chose to donate his body to science in the hopes of furthering Alzheimer’s research.
