Field work resumes
Construction of the concession stand at the new Little League fields at Ingleside’s Live Oak Park has resumed. and officials are hopeful it will be completed before the beginning of the Little League season. Work on the remaining ball field projects, the score board, is awaiting Ingleside City Council authorization to proceed as the bid for the project came in over budget and has to be rebid. A change order for the electrical work at the fields will affect the City’s available balance of the unallocated 2015 Bond funds by $205,646.50. It is not likely the lights or scoreboards will be completed before the season begins. The bid process for the drainage project has proceeded and bids are expected to be presented to the City Council at an upcoming meeting for approval. Construction on the new fields begun before Hurricane Harvey made landfall on Aug. 25, 2017, and although some damage was sustained, work on the new fields did not have to be completely redone.
