Eagle Scout provides new sign for San Ignacio Cemetery
Combining a community effort with necessary final steps to qualify to achieve the most prestigious Boy Scout award, an Eagle Scout award, Kirk George III provided San Ignacio Cemetery with a new sign.
Since its establishment in 1944, the San Ignacio Cemetery provided those in need with a final resting place, often times at no cost. The original purpose of the cemetery was to give Hispanics use of the cemetery. A group of local residents bought the land for this purpose and over the years have kept the cemetery beautiful and affordable for any one in need, through donations only.
