A teen was detained after allegedly breaking into several vehicles in central Florida.
On Thursday at 4:46 a.m., deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to 13000 Kain Palms Court after receiving complaints about several vehicles with broken windows. Deputies say a witness observed a 15-year-old jump a fence and run on foot.
HCSO’s K9 unit was dispatched to aid deputies in finding the suspect. Body camera video shows deputies pursuing the suspect through a residential area.
The teen is seen coming down the apartment stairs with his hands raised before landing on the ground. Deputies claim the teenager is then handcuffed.
The teen is now charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, petty theft, and possession of burglary tools.
