Detectives received information that two suspects were attempting to ship many packages of cocaine to drug locations in the United States and abroad, according to the Irvine Police Department.
On July 16, the Irvine Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at homes on Terrapin and Mainplace Drive in Santa Ana. That last address has to be the Paloma Apartments on MainPlace.
Detectives discovered several pounds of cocaine, methamphetamine, and cannabis products, as well as numerous firearms and cash.
They also discovered a note on a PF Chang’s fortune cookie that said, “Your hard work will soon pay off.” The fortune should have read, “Your criminal activity will soon result in an arrest by the Irvine Police.”
Sohail Hussain, 28, of Irvine, was arrested on counts including possession for sale of controlled narcotics, possessing a controlled substance while armed, and multiple firearms violations.
Katrina Chimene Hornsby, 24, of Santa Ana, was arrested on counts including possession for sale and transportation of a prohibited narcotic. Both suspects were booked into Orange County Jail.
