Police: Chicago Teen Detained After Carjacking 2 Men On Northwest Side

A 19-year-old man was charged with carjacking two other men at gunpoint on Chicago’s Northwest Side on Tuesday, according to investigators.

The Chicago Police Department charged Armahn Johnson with many offenses, including vehicular hijacking, aggravated fleeing, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Johnson was caught by Chicago and Illinois State Police less than 45 minutes after reportedly stealing a car at gunpoint from two men, aged 47 and 20, in the 4000 block of N. Laramie Ave in Portage Park.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Thursday.
