Drug Trafficker Detained And Large Quantity Of Drugs, Gear Seized In South Dallas Operation

A collaborative effort between the Dallas Police PNI Task Force, Southeast Patrol, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) resulted in the arrest of a drug trafficker and the confiscation of a large number of illicit drugs, gun accessories, and paraphernalia.

On July 15, 2025, Dallas Police executed a search warrant on the 3100 block of Harmon Street in South Dallas after receiving a tip from DPS. The search produced a significant haul that included the following items:

  • 2,499.8 grams of THC Wax
  • 7,397 grams of Marijuana
  • 1.3 grams of Oxycodone
  • 252.4 grams of THC edibles
  • 2.8 grams of Adderall
  • 8 bottles of Promethazine
  • Scales
  • Packaging heat sealer and multiple packaging materials
  • A rifle magazine, a pistol magazine, and a speed loader
  • Multiple cameras and a DVR

Officers observed 26-year-old Ricky Paul Morrison driving toward the location during warrant service. When he saw cops, he apparently drove away quickly. Officers immediately spotted Morrison and conducted a traffic stop after noticing him failing to use a turn signal. Morrison was taken into custody without incident.

Morrison has been charged for:

  • Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Third-Degree Felony)
  • Possession of Marijuana 5 – 50 lbs. (Third-Degree Felony)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Third-Degree Felony)
  • Failure to Signal Turn
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Driver’s License

The case number for the investigation is 100422-2025.
