A convenience store employee was arrested for stealing thousands of dollars in lottery tickets.
Deputies say Rajeev Saini, 56, stole almost $7,000 in scratch-off tickets from the Green Acres Store on Southeast Highway 42 near Umatilla on Monday.
When questioned, Saini said he didn’t recall the theft since he had just taken Tylenol and shots of whiskey.
He’s being jailed under a $5,000 bond.
