Eight people were apprehended after state troopers targeted crime hotspots across the state last month.
Major Raids in Burlington, Newark, and Hillside
The New Jersey State Police reports that on June 9th, their Crime Suppression North Unit, along with various other NJSP units and partner agencies, executed five search warrants in Burlington, Newark, and Hillside, resulting in the arrest of four people.
Authorities seized a substantial quantity of illegal substances, weaponry (including a machine gun with a silencer), AR-15 high-capacity magazines, and cash.
Authorities accuse the anonymous defendants of leading a narcotics trafficking network, distributing drugs, and committing several firearms offenses.
Trenton Operation Nets More Arrests
On June 14th, state troopers and local police agencies carried out a task force operation in Trenton, resulting in four additional arrests.
A stolen vehicle, a ghost gun, an Uzi-style machine gun, and illegal substances were discovered.
The charges included narcotics possession and distribution, aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, evading law enforcement, and firearms violations.

Authorities said in a Facebook post, “These joint efforts significantly disrupted criminal activity across multiple jurisdictions and highlight the NJSPโs ongoing commitment to collaborative strategies that enhance public safety statewide.”
