7 Southeast Missouri Residents Detained On Federal Drug Crimes

Seven people from southeast Missouri have been detained on federal charges of meth crimes.

On July 1, the men were indicted and arrested as part of a joint federal and Heartland investigation.

The indicted individuals include:

  • Walter L. Rainey Jr., 51, of Sikeston, faces two counts of distributing meth
  • Ruben R. Hampton, 28, of Sikeston, faces four counts of distributing meth and two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm
  • Rachaun L. Dorsey, 46, of Sikeston, faces three counts of distributing meth
  • Raheem O. Jones, 27, of Sikeston, faces one count of distributing meth
  • Malcom J. Turner, 34, of Sikeston, faces one count of distributing meth
  • Christopher A. Howard, 48, of Sikeston, faces one count of distributing meth
  • William J. Bogan III, 26, of Scott City, faces one count of distributing meth

“This operation shows the ongoing collaboration between local and federal law enforcement,” said Sikeston Department of Public Safety Chief James McMillen. “Continuing to work together and sharing intelligence is the key to success. Our DEA partners are a vital part of our efforts to remove these dangerous people from our community.”
