4 People Charged After 254 Pounds Of ‘lean’ Discovered In Vehicle From Houston

Four people are in custody on multiple charges, according to the West Tennessee Violent Crime and Drug Task Force.

On July 23, the criminal interdiction unit patrolled I-40 in Haywood County and discovered two vehicles following too closely.

After stopping the rear vehicle, the authorities conducted a search.

The rental car allegedly included two loaded weapons, 254 pounds of lean (also known as promethazine), 100 opioid pills, and three pounds of marijuana.

Kelveon Alexander, 23; Mikkel Lang, 23; Richelle Miller, 26; and Jaylynd Parker, 32, were arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of Schedule VI with intent
  • 2 counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony
  • Possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

The press statement states that all four people are from Texas.

The investigators discovered that the lean had been stolen from a pharmaceutical supply company in Houston.

Agents from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office and Houston Investigators will continue the investigation, as additional charges are anticipated to come.
