Three women were apprehended for their involvement in a series of thefts at retail stores throughout the Houston area, according to Harris County authorities.
Three women accused in $30,000 merchandise thefts
According to Constable Mark Herman, deputies were called to The Children’s Place on the North Freeway on July 26 for a theft. Three suspects had returned to the area following their past involvement in a retail theft.
Deputies said they discovered the suspect’s vehicle nearby and were able to identify the three as Jo-Lisa Tiagon, Tatyana Robinson, and Lamaya Starks.
When deputies searched the vehicle, they discovered stolen stuff. According to officials, $1,198 in product was stolen from The Children’s Place, while $4,013 was stolen from Bath & Body Works.
Following an investigation, officials discovered that the three ladies had reportedly perpetrated two further robberies the day before, stealing $1,742.80 in candles and 112 candles worth $3,018.40 in a second visit.
According to store officials, Tiagon, Robinson, and Starks are accused of stealing approximately $30,000 in items across several thefts.
Constable Mark Herman confirmed that all three were charged with organized retail theft. Williams and Starks’ bail was set at $5,000, while Robinson’s bond was set at $15,000.
