Three people were apprehended last week for running an unlicensed towing operation in Happy Valley, authorities said.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, they worked with the Oregon State Board of Towing and Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services to stop “predatory” towing companies from operating without proper licensing.
On July 30, during a coordinated enforcement operation, authorities said they arrested three people for running an illegal towing business and identified five other towing companies for action.
The State Board of Towing had previously warned all of the enterprises found during the operation, but they continued to operate without a license, according to authorities.
During the operation, authorities reportedly said that they towed two tow trucks, one of which was seized.
