The suspects, Jonathan Cabrera-Jauregui, 31, and Angela Oralia Herrera, 40, were arrested when deputies responded to a theft incident on Benton Street.

Deputies responded promptly and successfully located a blue Volkswagen SUV that was apparently used during the heist. The automobile was discovered at a property in the 25100 block of Starr Street. This revelation enabled law enforcement to apprehend the suspects, Cabrera-Jauregui and Herrera. According to a statement received by Nixle, a subsequent search order resulted in the recovery of the stolen property and a bigger amount of narcotics, indicating drug sales.

The incident began when the victim stated that a suspect was aggressively removing tools from their truck’s bed. The suspect exacerbated the altercation, threatening the victim with a tool before departing the scene. After a thorough investigation and search of the suspects’ home, deputies arrived and successfully linked the suspects to the vehicle and the stolen goods.

Cabrera-Jauregui was arrested and charged with robbery and possession of stolen property, while Herrera was charged with narcotics sales. Both suspects are being jailed at the Central Detention Center, with bail set at $50,000.
