The Pearland Police Department has arrested two Houston men in connection with a string of motor vehicle (BMV) burglaries that happened in the Southern Trails and Shadow Creek Ranch communities from July 27 to August 4.
The arrests were made on August 4 after a suspect car was detected by resident surveillance video and the department’s Flock Safety License Plate Recognition (LPR) system, triggering an alert. Pearland cops performed a car stop and apprehended Jabari Demas, 20, and Jayvion Bickham, 19, both of Houston.
During the stop, officers discovered burglary tools, as well as debit and credit cards belonging to recent burglary victims. Both men have been charged, and the investigation is still ongoing, with more charges possible.

To assist in preventing theft, the Pearland Police Department encouraged citizens to remove valuables from their vehicles, lock the doors and windows, and double-check their vehicles before going to bed.
