IOB Swears In New Alderman, Tim Jolly

Ingleside businessman Tim Jolly (right), owner of TJ’s Machine Shop on FM 2725 was sworn in September 5th as new Alderman in Ingleside on the Bay, where he lives. San Patricio County Constable Kody Fahrenthold, Precinct 6 (left) had the honor of asking Jolly to take the oath of office. The seat has been vacant since the resignation earlier this year of Brenda Duncan. Jolly will serve until next May when the current term expires.

Classes have started for the 2023-2024 school year in Aransas Pass and that means Mr. Kippy’s Storytime has resumed at the Ed & Hazel Richmond Public Library at 110 N. Lamont St. in Aransas Pass. The iconic San Patricio County Children’s Librarian brings his wacky costumes and bag full of props to delight children of all ages every Tuesday at 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. in the library meeting room.

Ingleside Chamber, Community Aid Domestic Violence Survivors

Generous donors have provided hundreds of personal care items they’ve dropped off at the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce, all to benefit the Purple Door, a Corpus Christi-based domestic violence shelter. For weeks, the office at 2809 Main St. (FM 1069) has been collecting toiletries that were scheduled to be presented to the non-profit shelter’s leadership Thursday night, September 21st during the Leading Ladies Gala at the Aransas Pass Civic Center. Kayla Echols (left), Member Coordinator with the Chamber and President/CEO Barbara Gregg show boxes and bags full of donated items destined for shelter clients the public and area businesses have graciously provided.
