Chamber of Commerce open for business
The Ingleside Chamber of Commerce (COC) announced their decision to stay open for business after meeting with their members on Oct.1.
The recent cause for concern was when Ingleside City council members and staff changed the funding process for Hotel Occupancy Tax’s (HOT) and an application process for funding to host annual city events. In previous years the COC would be allocated a specific number of funds from the HOT and was responsible for planning and executing large events such as the Renaissance Faire and Round Up Days but now with the changes the COC will apply for funds and change the reporting measures for HOT funds to the city’s request.
