Baseball Mustangs lose to Cotton Pickers, defeat Panthers
The Ingleside High School Mustang baseball team lost to Robstown, but rebounded with a win over the Aransas Pass Panthers.
The Mustangs traveled to Robstown Tuesday, April 3, and lost 5-0, as they committed three errors in the loss. Robstown scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth and one in the bottom of the sixth for the victory. Adam Suniga took the loss in pitching six innings. He gave up three hits, and one earned run, while striking out six batters. Ingleside had only two hits in the game as Marty Hinojosa and Anthony Gonzales each went 1 for 3.
Ingleside hosted Aransas Pass Friday, April 6 and handed them a 5-2 loss in 6-1/2 innings. The Mustangs scored one run in the bottom of the first inning, on a sacrifice bunt by Tanner Burgess.
