Laredo Sector Border Patrol, along with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), arrested two fugitives in Arlington.
On Monday, August 11, the Laredo Sector Border Patrol announced the arrest of two family members, Jose Vicente Ortiz Mendez and Pedro Luis Ortiz Mendez, who were wanted for murder in Mexico.
According to reports, the two fugitives illegally crossed the border and claimed asylum in the United States; however, they were apprehended by the three agencies stated above and will be deported and extradited.
