Constable deputies in Harris County made a theft arrest at a local Target store earlier this month. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded swiftly to the incident on the North Freeway after receiving a shoplifting allegation, according to a post on the constable’s official Facebook page.

The store’s loss prevention team reported that a woman, later identified as Chukwunetanya Elee, had allegedly taken products worth more than $213. Deputies were able to quickly find and arrest Elee near the store. According to the constable’s Facebook post, County Court 6 set her bond at under $100.00.

“Chukwunetanya Elee was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for theft,” Constable Mark Herman reported. The Constable’s Office utilized the incident to promote its new mobile app, “C4 NOW,” which provides crime reports, arrests, safety tips, and traffic updates.
