Oregon Traffic Stop Leads To 122 Pounds Of Cocaine And 2 Arrests

Oregon State Police confiscated 122 pounds of illegal drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 Wednesday morning, according to officials.

A trooper stopped a car going south near Albany for multiple traffic violations, police said Thursday. A drug-sniffing dog helped officers in locating and seizing around 112 pounds of methamphetamine, 5.6 pounds of cocaine, and 4.4 pounds of fentanyl, according to authorities.

The drug seizure was “significant,” the agency said.

Two Washington men are facing federal accusations of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute illegal substances, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon.
