When you hear the ice cream truck, you know you’re about to experience pure, frozen delight. However, you may be close to dangerous drugs as well. One Indiana lady was arrested for meth after breaking driving restrictions in an ice cream truck.
Indiana woman caught with meth in ice cream truck
People were excited to hear the sound of an ice cream truck approaching until they learned the driver was inebriated.
Police officers near the Indiana-Kentucky border initiated a traffic stop after noticing the truck speeding. According to NBC Chicago, the incident took place on New State Road 237.
The motorist lost her composure when they pulled her over. The officer obtained probable cause to search the vehicle. They discovered methamphetamines, prohibited substances, legend drugs, and drug accessories.
Officers confirmed that the suspect, Sherri Pool, was also under the influence. This situation is quite risky because children often run at full speed toward ice cream trucks.
A qualified drug recognition expert was dispatched to the scene to investigate the driver’s impairment. She faces several counts, including OWI on a controlled narcotic.
Furthermore, instead of using a legitimate ice cream truck, the driver drove a suspicious white van. Stickers advertising off-brand delicacies adorned the windows and doors.
It is unknown whether Pool owns the vehicle or if it belongs to his employer. Furthermore, it might be used as proof. But something tells me that this is one of the trucks that responsible parents would want their children to avoid.
In the absence of this meth-fueled rig, hopefully a nicer truck will be available for children to enjoy.
