An investigation is underway after a woman was discovered dead on U.S. 131 following a crash, according to the sheriff’s officers from Mecosta County.
The collision happened around 11 p.m. Saturday, July 12, on southbound U.S. 131 near Jefferson Road in Aetna Township.
According to police, the woman was found deceased at the scene. The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run involving suspicious circumstances.
