Amber Alert Canceled After Missing 3-year-old Child In Alabama Discovered Safe; Father Apprehended

Authorities in Alabamaย have canceled an Amber Alert issued on Thursday for a missing child considered to be in danger.

According to the Auburn Police Department, the situation began earlier that day, around 2:30 p.m., when officers arrived at a home on Samantha Court to conduct a welfare check.

When cops entered the house, they discovered the bodies of a woman and her child.

Investigators discovered that another child, a 3-year-old boy identified asย Jibreel Harun, was also missingย from the residence, along with his father, Aaron Dontay Williams.

The Auburn Police Department reported that Williams was captured without incident in Giles County, Tennessee, at about 7:15 a.m. on Friday. Agents from the United States Marshals Service apprehended him with assistance from the FBI, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Giles County is located near the Tennessee-Alabama border, about 230 miles northwest of the Auburn home where detectives discovered Williams’ wife and little stepdaughter dead Thursday afternoon.

Williams’ 3-year-old son, Jibreel, who was the subject of an Amber Alert, was with him at the time of his arrest.

Auburn police confirmed that the boy was unhurt, and they are working to reconnect him with his family.

Williams was brought to the Giles County Jail and is awaiting extradition back to Alabama to face charges.
