Police: Chicago Man Charged With Murder In Fourth Of July Weekend Shooting

A 20-year-old Chicago man has been charged in connection with a deadly shootingย that occurred overย the violent Fourth of July weekend.

Daniel Alvarado, 20, of Chicago, was detained by Chicago police on July 8 in the 4300 block of West 25th Place.

Police recognized him as the individual who fatally shot a 47-year-old man on July 5 in the 2600 block of South Central Park Avenue.

Authorities charged Alvarado with one felony count of first-degree murder.

His next court hearing is set for Friday, July 11.
