A former Montgomery County sheriff is apprehended in Cowley County.
Former Sheriff Bobby Dierks was arrested during the Fourth of July weekend. According to the Cowley County Jail Roster, Dierks was charged with driving under the influence, transporting an open container, and failing to report an accident.
In April, Dierks and Bo Rupert filed a complaint concerning a domestic incident with a sheriff’s deputy in 2021. KGGF reached Rupert for comment on the Dierks’ arrest. He claims he wasn’t with Dierks when it happened, but he has spoken with him.
Rupert said he has no evidence that Dierks was drunk, and he does not believe he was. Rupert said Dierks was released earlier today. You can hear the entire conversation with Rupert here.
