A Missouri woman was apprehended Sunday afternoon following a report of suspicious activity at the Dollar General in Huntsville.
On Sunday, just before 3:00 PM, Logan County dispatch received a call from a store clerk reporting that two women were continuously entering and exiting the store with large bags and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
Deputies arrived at the store and discovered a woman, subsequently identified as 30-year-old Sarah Moro, standing outside a white pickup truck parked in front.
Moro admitted to recently consuming methamphetamine and showed signs of impairment.
She was apprehended and placed inย the cruiser, where she complained of shortness of breath.
She admitted toย medics at the scene that she had taken five fentanyl pills.
She was subsequently sent to the Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
When deputies searched the patrol cruiser where Moro was seated, they discovered a clear plastic bag containing what appeared to be methamphetamine.
The bag later tested positive for the substance and weighed around 9.76 grams.
Cruiser camera footage later revealed that Moro had removed an item from her garment and appeared to conceal it behind the seat.
She was also seen pushing a second itemโlater identified as a red metal straw containing drug residueโunder the cruiser’s front seat.
Moro was booked into the Logan County Jail after being checked out at the hospital.
She’s facing the following charges:
- Possession of Controlled Substances โ 3rd-degree felony
- Obstructing Justice โ 5th-degree felony
- Tampering with Evidence โ 3rd-degree felony
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia โ 4th-degree misdemeanor
She is also being jailed on warrants from Missouri.
